Meet Kassandra Balandrano

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
Supervised by Karen Shafer, LPC-S

Hey there! I imagine you’re reading this because you’re at the end of your rope. You’re feeling stuck, lonely, anxious, or all the above. Maybe your relationships with friends, family, or a romantic partner are suffering.

You’re doing everything you can to hold it together, but under the surface you’re overwhelmed, disconnected, and tired of pretending everything’s fine. Whether it’s tension in your relationship, constant overthinking, or the quiet ache of feeling unseen, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

I work with women and committed couples who are ready for meaningful change. My clients are often self-aware, high-achieving, and deeply caring, but find themselves overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in cycles of overthinking, conflict, or people-pleasing. I primarily work from an ACT, CBT, & Interpersonal Neurobiology lens. If you’re in the market for premarital couples counseling, I’ve received Gottman level 1 training, and I’m a certified pre-marital facilitator through the SYMBIS program. My areas of focus are anxiety, self-esteem, & relationship issues.

A little bit about me- I’m a Latina, neurodivergent, Texan who has lived all over the state! However, Austin has had a special place in my heart since I moved here to pursue my undergraduate degree at UT. I’m happily married to my husband of 5+ years, and we have two cats- Ollie and Shenzi. I’m quite the introvert. I love spending time at home and making it a cozy, welcoming space for friends and family. When I’m not in the therapy chair, you can find me reading, playing my Switch, lounging at a coffee shop, walking the trails, or watching the newest dystopian film.

If my background resonates with you, please reach out via the contact form on my website. It would be an honor to work with you!
